Women's Soccer Adds UCLA Transfer

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara has added UCLA transfer Jordan Geis. Geis, a local product out of San Jose, will join the Broncos for the Spring quarter. She joins a group of five signees and transfers from Texas A&M and Oregon State.

Last season for the Bruins, Geis played in 19 matches and made six starts. She scored the game-winner in the 77th minute against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.

As a freshman in 2024, Geis played in all of UCLA's 24 games and made 12 starts. She scored two goals and recorded an assist. She was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after scoring a game-winner against Oregon.

Geis played club soccer for MVLA, which won three straight Nor-Cal Championships. She was a two-time ECNL First Team All-League pick and also played for the USL Women's League Team Oakland Soul.

Geis attended Archbishop Mitty High School, which ranked No. 1 in California and No. 10 in the nation in 2024 when they won the NorCal Division I Championship. She was named the 2023-24 MaxPreps NorCal Player of the Year and earned United Soccer Coaches All-America and All-West Region honors as well as WCAL First Team All-League that season as well. Geis was also a member of the 2021 WCAL Championship and CCS Championship Teams.

"Jordan will be a fabulous addition to our team. She is an wonderful young woman, terrific student, amazing athlete, and a gifted soccer player. Jordan is goal-oriented, hard working, determined, and very competitive. Although she is very, very versatile, we will most likely use her on the flank to help us create scoring opportunities, in addition to be a hard-working defensive presence for us. On and off the field, Jordan Geis will a fantastic addition to Santa Clara University," Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith said.
