Santa Clara Athletics Hall of Fame
Jackson was the first African American to play basketball at Santa Clara. He was not only a trailblazer into a new era, but a tremendous leader on the court. As a center for the Broncos, Jackson led the team to a 53-24 winning record. Three times Jackson was named to the All-West Coast Conference team. Two of his three seasons Jackson led his team in points. All three seasons he was the team’s top rebounder. Jackson grabbed a record 273 boards during his senior year, a total that remains ranked among the school’s best.
