For over three decades, from the 1950s to the 1970s, Victor Corsiglia was a long-time supporter of Santa Clara Athletics. Vic gathered six of his friends and created a group called “The Society of Seven.” Every year, they pooled their resources and honored members of both the basketball and football teams with a postseason banquet. He is best known for the big barbeques he put on by himself for over 20 years. The Victor Corsiglia Award is given each year to Santa Clara University’s top senior male athlete.
