McKillop was one of 22 men named as one of Santa Clara's Top Basketball Players from the first half of the 1900s by former Bronco coaches George Barsi, Ray Pesco, and Bob Feerick. McKillop was a three-year starter, leading scorer, and selected to the All-Star Cow Palace Team. After his career as an athlete, he helped coach for Hayward High School (CA) and athletic director for the school district.
