Michael Gonzales was a four-year starter for the Bronco football team. His senior season he was a first-team All-American honoree and the team's leading tackler. Gonzales was selected as a National Football Foundation Hall of Fame/Scholar-Athlete during an outstanding prep career at St. Patrick's High School in Vallejo. He earned his Master's degree in Business Administration in 1983. In 2001 he was inducted into the SCU Hall of Fame.
